Visiting The Northwest with my Samsung GS8

These past two weeks have been full of fun and adventure for the end of our summer activities. I took a road trip with my daughter up to Seattle and looped back down through Portland, Oregon. We have the best time navigating through the Rocky Mountains of the Northwest and exploring new places we've never visited.

We packed up our gear and heading out. Some nights we stayed in a hotel and some nights we decided to camp. We camped either in the back of our wagon or put up a tent and hung out by the river and hot springs.  It was mom's turn for a new phone so I got the Samsung Galaxy GS8 and I'm sure glad I did. I took photos and shared short videos on Instagram stories and even mapped out our route using my Samsung GS8.

On the top is a photo of the water front is Seattle overlooking the Puget Sound. The water and sky were so blue and beautiful that day. On the left is the trail head of the Pacific Coast Trail. A few years ago a forest fire had gone through the area leaving a graveyard of burnt tree trunks. Now along with those dead trees are mixed in new growth trees. It was really beautiful to see. To the right is a photo of me in front of Sahalie Falls in Oregon. All the photos were taken with my Samsung GS8.

It's so nice that we live in a time where we have our camera, video camera, phone, and navigation wrapped up into one nice little pocket sized package.

I bought my unlocked Samsung GS8 phone on Walmart.com It was pretty easy and it arrived right before we left on our trip. I that the phone is unlocked. This makes it so you can choose your carrier as well as your own data plan and other services¹.  The Unlocked Samsung GS8 and the Unlocked Samsung GS8+ are both available at Walmart.com and only available online.

Some of the features of the Samsung GS8 include "the world’s first Infinity Screen," and the Galaxy S8+ is even bigger! It's water resistant which was nice since we were near the river and hot springs. It can handle some splashing and even an accidental dunk. Ok, I love this feature, wireless charging on a power up pad (charger sold separately.) So easy!  You can also add to your storage up to 256GB
with a microSD card (sold separately.) The Unlocked by Samsung smartphones means it works on your choice of carrier in the U.S. so you get to choose the one you like best. You can take your take your device anywhere, from Mexico City to Paris and more.² There are fewer preloaded apps too.
Guess what? All Unlocked by Samsung smartphones come with a standard U.S. limited warranty.³
