Everyday Makeup Bag

Tuesday I was part of a group of bloggers/periscopers who showed our Everyday Makeup Bag. I had just renewed my makeup bag supply for the year and added some new things I love. These basic makeup items are great to go from everyday to evening to a party and even perfect for your wedding day makeup. The can be applied lightly for a more minimal natural looking makeup or go all the way to a more dramatic look complete with a smoky eye.

Starting from the base up here are my favorites I have stocked in my everyday makeup bag.

I love the tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer. It's creamy without being oily. You only need a tiny bit to gently tap into the under eye area. It covers well and the finish is smooth.

This year I decided to try the Laura Geller Baked-Balanced and Brightened foundation powder. I love the velvety texture. It's not drying for me. The mix of colors gives a nice coverage and blends well with my skin color.

I do a light contour on my face using the Aveda ukuku bronzer. It's matte and adds just enough to give a little shading where needed.

I love the heart shaped packaging and the pink and gold foil. It sold me at first sight but I also love that the Too Faced Sweethearts Blush perfect flush blush adds a bit of highlight too.

I have never seen a more complete natural color eyeshadow Palette than the Naked sets from Urban Decay. My favorite is the Naked 3 Set. It has the most beautiful colors or pinks and browns to create the prettiest eye.

To add a little color I use the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye-Pencils. I love the selection of colors and the smoothness of the application of the pencil.

Curling your eyelashes is a must. A good lash curler is a must too. The lash curler I showed on my scope isn't available anymore but another great eyelash curler is the Mac Full Lash Curler. You can't go wrong with Mac tools.

Love the huge lashes you get from Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Now I don't know how mascara can be better than sex but it sure is a great mascara to create long lashes. I only have to use one coat.

To finish off my everyday makeup look I like to wear Burt's Bees Lip Shine. They are moisturizing and add a little bit of color.

A good set of makeup brushes is a must have in any makeup bag. Start out with a good basic set like these Teddy Bear Hair Pro Brushes from Too Faced are great. The only thing I would add is the Too Faced Kabuki Brush.
