With temperatures rising to as high as 110 degrees in Arizona who wants to turn on the oven. After fun in the sun, swimming, hiking and playing with friends Pizza on the Grill is a go to recipe for an easy delicious and fresh dinner.
French Artisan Bread Pizza
- sliced French artisan bread {I have mine sliced at the bakery}
- your favorite red sauce
- pizza blend of shredded cheese such as mozzarella and pecorino {or you can use any cheese you have on hand}
- artichoke hearts
- black olives
- fresh basil {we picked some fresh from the garden}
- cherry or plum tomatoes {fresh from the garden or farmers market is best}
Warm the grill on low about 350 degrees. Lay out bread slices on cook sheet to assemble. Layer sauce, cheese, artichokes, basil. Smash olives in hand and slice tomatoes then layer on top. Grill until cheese is melted.
Sweet Tip: Choose your favorite pizza toppings to make it your own.
